Cynthia's musing...
It's cold but nothing like the Toronto that welcomed us back this past Friday. In Cannes, they still sail, and a few floating palaces hosted parties for the jetset among MIDEM (short for MarcheInt'l du Disques et de l'Edition Musicale).
Highlight of the trip was dinner with the divine Jully Black.
She was in town to promote herself among a host of international promoters who were also in town for MIDEM.
Another highlight was window shopping along rue d'Antibes. I broke down a few times. Oh, who am I kidding?! I broke down several times!
A lot of mink clad retirees walk their Burberry wrapped dogs along the Croisette where the famous Carlton strikes a pose against a brilliant blue sky.
A local bookstore uses image of Shakespeare to promote English language books for sale.
The carrousel - quiet right now - a reminder of summer... it's the Alps and skiing that beckon at the moment.
